Raúl López

I have over 6 years of experience in the field of Technological Consulting and Innovation. Since September 2019 I have been a member of the Technological Consulting and Innovation team at our firm, joining as a member of Grant Thornton in June 2018. During this time, I´ve had the opportunity to lead key projects across various industries, including Banking, Insurance, and Energy (Oil & Gas). My main focus has been on the direct management of the Blockchain & Crypto Lab, as well as projects related to Innovation and technological Security.

Before joining the firm, I served as Manager in the Operations Department at Espacio IT within the Villar Mir Group for over 6 years. In this position, I successfully led Innovation projects for companies such as OHL Concesiones, Grupo Fertiberia, Grupo Ferroglobe, Torre Espacio Gestión  and Inmobiliaria Espacio, all part of the Holding. My primary responsibility was the management of the entire IT & Innovation project portfolio, both nationally and internationally.

Additionally, I have over 5 years of experience in IT Consulting, including a period of over 2 years at EY, where I worked as an Auditor and Consultant in the IT Risk and Assurance Department. During my time at EY, I had the opportunity to collaborate with prominent clients such as Repsol, Telefónica, Siemens, and FCC. My responsibilities included conducting SOX audits, ISAE 3402, and strategic technological consulting projects, such as the implementation of systems in different countries.

Complementing my professional experience, I have the pleasure of teaching in Masters and specialized courses in Blockchain at prestigious Universities and Business Schools such as IEB and the Complutense University of Madrid. Furthermore, I collaborate in training for senior management in companies and actively participate in events and audiovisual media, including appearances on El Confidencial and Radio Intereconomía.
