I account for more than 35 years of experience in auditing, which I have mainly developed at Grant Thornton, where I have been a partner since January 2001.
During my professional career as an auditor, I have participated and continue to participate in audits of annual accounts and financial states of companies and groups in multiple sectors. In recent years I have specialized in the services, industry, commerce, and distribution sectors. Currently, I am the partner responsible for the audit of important national and international companies and groups in these sectors of activity.
The purpose of auditing is to give reliability to the economic information issued by companies, so that the users of this information can make decisions on an appropriate basis. I therefore consider auditing to be a key activity in the economic and business world.
From my point of view, a quality audit has as its first link a good knowledge of the client’s activity, as well as of the objectives and strategies of the management and the administrators. To achieve this, I give great importance to maintaining continuous communication and dialogue with the client’s key people.
I also think that it is key to achieve the objective of quality audits to have good work teams. For this reason, I try to pass on to my teams the knowledge and experience acquired in my years of work, both at a technical level and at a personal skills level, in the same way that other partners and professionals have passed it on to me.
On a personal level, I try to contribute as much as possible to family life, with my wife and two daughters, fully grown up and away from home. I also try to enjoy my hobbies: the sea, music, sports, travel, etc.
